Ethnological collection includes equipment used for fishing by villagers around the lake, among these are the lake boath, small wooden models wich represents the transportation of wood, hay and livestock across the lake, old wooden skates and equipment for cutting and transporting ice.

Various types of literature are on display, along with old maps, postcards and the writings of domestic and foreign experts who have researched Lake Cerknica. We also have the first chart of all feature names and old house names from the entire Cerknica valley and a map of caves in the Vodonos and Reseto intlet.
